Jail Ministry Dinner
Saturday, November 7, 6:00 p.m.

The annual Fall Cook County Jail Ministry Dinner will be held in our gymnasium on Saturday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. You are invited to join us for delicious meal and an inspiring program of testimonies and music. This annual event is a fundraiser for a ministry that has ministered to thousands of inmates and their families for more than thirty years. Countless lives have been touched and transformed by the message of the gospel preached to those behind prison bars. This ministry was started by Chaplain Andy Gonzalez and the First Baptist Church of Oak Park. Following Andy’s untimely death, his wife Marjean has taken up the mantle of leadership. Under her capable care the ministry has grown and thrived. We invite you to join us for an evening of entertainment and inspiration. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under the age of 12. A free will offering will also be received. Prepare to be blessed!
New Stephen Minister CommissioningSunday, September 13, 10:00 a.m.Rachael Godinez Wallace is being commissioned as our new Stephen Minister. She has received 50 hours of specialized training in Christian caregiving and joins a team of ten active Stephen Ministers serving our congregation and community. Please pray for Rachael—ask God to bless her ministry and work through her to bring hope and healing to those whom she serves. Pray also for the ongoing ministry of our current Stephen Ministers.

Gratitude Fest
Sunday, November 22, 11:30 a.m.

Spiritual giants throughout the ages have identified gratitude as one of the keys to spiritual growth. You are cordially invited to the Gratitude Fest that will be held immediately following the worship service on Sunday, November 22. A $5.00 donation per person will be received. Please invite your family and friends! It is very important that you let us know if you are able to attend! In the past, we have sometimes had over 30 unexpected friends arrive, and it presents a challenge to our Service Team. So help us out and R.S.V.P. by either e-mail or calling the church, or filling out and returning this bulletin insert. Thank you!
