Sharing Seniors Picnic
12:00 noon, Saturday, July 19

Cecil and Eunice Jones have again invited the Sharing Seniors to a picnic at their home, 480 Prairie, Elmhurst, IL at 12:00 noon, July 19. Meat, beverages, and utensils will be supplied. We guests are asked to bring a dish such as salad, dessert, etc. We anticipate with much pleasure the opportunity to enjoy good food, warm fellowship, and the beauty of Cecil’s flowers.

Congregational Meeting
11:30 a.m., Sunday, July 20

We will be having a congregational business meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Sun., July 20, immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. The main topics on the agenda will be the building repair, plans for growing our church attendance and membership, and the kick-off for our Capital Campaign fund raiser.

Bible Study

Classes for all ages are offered. We hope you will want to start the fall off right by deciding to grow in your understanding of scripture. The following is a summary of our offerings.

Adult Opportunities
Matthew Studies—9:00 a.m., Sellers Rm.; Fay and Max Havlick, Teachers; This summer we will listen to the answers Jesus gave to that question in the remarkable series of parable stories preserved in the Gospel of Matthew.
Living Waters9:00 a.m. in Dining Room. Teacher: Steve Bruner; Starting Exodus September 7, coffee & cookies!
Pastor’s Bible Study—
11:30 a.m., Parlor; Dr. Harry Parker, Teacher; This class will be studying the book of Psalms.

Youth Opportunities--September to June

Youth Bible Study (6th-9th Grade)--11:30 a.m., Youth Room (in basement); Join Jackie Robinson and Lauren Visser, Minister of Youth and Young Adults, as they help students form a foundation of Biblical understanding and discover what it means to be a dedicated follower of God. Classes will be interactive, conversational, and hands-on as students discover how the messages in the Bible relate to their everyday lives. Current classes follow the gospel of Mark, which was chosen by the students.

Children’s Opportunities--September to June
Children and Worship--10:10 a.m. (during our worship service), 3rd Floor; Judy Friesen, Mary Lee Eneberg, and Kathy Ogundipe, Teachers
3rd, 4th & 5th Grades: 11:30 a.m. on 3rd floor; Teacher: Norma Gavard; the class uses excellent curriculum provided by Gospel Light.
Preschool-2nd Grade: 11:30 a.m. in 2nd floor room across from the nursery, down the hall from the elevator. Teacher: Kathy Ogundipe and a support team in training. We will be reinforcing lessons from Children & Worship by utilizing Nest Videos and Gospel Light materials
