Year-Long Discipleship Class--The Better Way
Beginning Saturday, September 26, 10:00 a.m.
Pastor Parker will be offering a monthly study of his text, The Better Way: A Handbook for Followers of Jesus. The class will meet on Saturdays for 90 minutes. The start date is September 26 at 10:00 a.m. The class is scheduled to run from September through May. The text is divided into three parts. The first focuses on “How To Become a Christian.” It includes chapters on “Knowing God’s Love,” “Knowing Your Sin,” and “God’s Rescue Mission.” The second section is on the Spiritual Disciplines. In this unit we will focus on how to pray, work, read scripture, worship, etc. so that we might be transformed into Christlikeness. The third is called “Frequently Asked Questions.” In includes topics such as how to make wise decisions, what happens after we die, how can I hear God, etc. As a church we are making an effort to help all believers become true disciples. I hope you will join us as we launch this endeavor. One year from now your life could be completely different!
