Six-week Purpose Driven Life Lenten Study
10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1
The season of Lent is a time for spiritual renewal and growth. Many Christians have found it fruitful to make a special effort to strengthen their walk with Jesus during the forty days leading up to Easter. One of the groundbreaking books of the past decade is Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life. Warren has recently produced an updated version of this classic work. Lives have been changed by reading and applying this book. The same can happen for you! As part of the study, the pastor will be offering a 10:00 Saturday morning class/discussion of the week’s readings. The class will include a brief video featuring Rick Warren. The first class is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, at 10:00 a.m.
Ash Wednesday Communion Service
6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 5
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. This is a forty day period that leads up to Easter. For many within the Christian community it is a time of spiritual reflection and growth. You are invited to join us in our chapel at 6:30 p.m. for a quiet meditative service where we reflect on our mortality, our sinfulness and the grace of God. There is no sermon. Instead the service is characterized by scripture, song and meditation. We invite you to join us as we begin our spiritual journey to Golgotha and the empty tomb.
